The small community of gamers enjoying Fusionfall are understandably out for blood, and according to members of the Reddit forum all signs pointed to one guy. Was it me? Was it you? No. It was apparently some bitter random person who was upset that his ideas weren’t getting used in the game, and that user allegedly sent malicious emails to Cartoon Network alleging that the team was engaging with money laundering, pedophilia, and other allegations, with the apparent goal being to convince Cartoon Network to DMCA the server, so the team would make the game data public.

Yes, if these allegations are accurate the game was pulled down because a child somewhere had a petty vendetta.

The unfortunate reality of the situation is that the Fusionfall servers were always operating on a cliff’s edge with the possibility of Cartoon Network’s lawyers taking notice at any given time. It is very much possible if not completely likely that the user who instigated the takedown was just hastening the inevitable.

It’s a shame but sadly DMCA notices are an expected part of operating rogue servers.
